As a mother to a fully cloth-diapered 9-month old son who has just started pee-ing and poop-ing into the potty, I believe that the damp feeling in cloth diapers is critical to making the child aware of his output process, leading to earlier potty-training success.

Instead of throwing away all diapers and not using training pants, I would suggest starting pre-potty training early (7.5 months old in my son's case), using cloth diapers / training pants with stay-wet feel and lots of praise and encouragement.

Visit http://mummysreviews.com/category/potty-training/ for more details of my son's experience.

Happy potty training! :)
